My conversion
HAha i knew that that title would get everyone to look at this. Ok. When i convert my '89 convertible should i just buy a turbo II with the engine and everything in tact?? Or should i try to find all of the parts that i need from different places? The way i see it i am going to need a lot of that stuf any way so why not just buy the whole car. My engine now only has like 10 or 11 thousand miles so im thinking i can just take my housings and all of that stuff and combine them with the turbo parts. Then i would already have the harness and the rear end and the transmission and the hood hopefully and the whatever else i might need. Oh exhaust too. So i think i could buy a complete turbo II for a whole lot less than if i buy all of these parts separately. it doesnt even have to run so i think i could pick one up for pretty cheap. I was thinking it would be nice to have an 88 vert bc i could convert it to a 10th ae. But oh well.

So you already have the motor right? What year is the motor? You would most likely want to buy the same series car as the motor your using, and finding a wrecked series 5 turboII is hard these days...
..It will save you time and money to just purchase a wrecked T2...I wish I would have done that when I was doing my conversion!
