ok so lets get started with im only curious about the ls1 swap.....not deffinate. just looking for detailed info on EVERYTHING i need. im talking from the time you turn of the 13b to the time you start up the ls1/t56. in detail, what ALL i need to get besides just the motor and tranny. as much DETAIL as possible so i can make a good desicion. my origanal plan was to go from 13b to 13bt but im beginning to question the motors reliability compared to the ls1. if your gonna hate go somewhere else im only here for ppl who actually know what the F*** there talking about. if you havent actually made this swap or researched it in depth get the h*** off my post.

ls1 rx7 is worth every penny.

I put down 398 whp with a stock ls1 and a 75 shot.

I play with vettes and most tuner cars don't stand a chance. I re jetted for a 150 shot and hung with a murcielago

its all fun

The problem with ls1 is its really expensive and you loose the rx-7's heart. the TII will push stock 255 to 276hp Stock. upgrade to t4 turbos and ill smoke you. Ill already blow you away with stock in a short run, because you prolly are having grip problems and then i could take u through turns as well because the ballence is all off now with yours due to the weight of the ls1. but I still respect the muscle swap just I cant afford anything like that when it lacks the money to power performance ratio.

another pessimist with no facts! !! ! just FYI my LS1 swapped 86 weighed in less than a stock TII buddy. Add a fmic and a bigger turbo car gets heavier. I am put down 398 on a stock motor with only a nos kit. and my weight balance was actually 49/51rear with me in the car and a full tank of gas. with about 1/3 tank its dead even. and guess what I get way better gas mileage with the ls1 than i ever got even when my RX was n/a. so why don't you stop knocking one of the best engines ever produced and drive one before you knock it. I am a rotary lover but i wanted to do something different in this car that I wont be able to do on a rotary without having a garage queen that is for lack of a better word not really street friendly.
