more power,but i need a set up
i want to increase my boost pressure up to 12 or 13 but am i going to need larger injectors or will the oem ones be ok with some tuning and i was told to increase the oil pressure to 80 to help lube the turbo but i then do i really need this or will the oem set-up hold true under 12 psi????
it depends a little on the entire combo. assuming you have a fresh engine, and a stock turbo/ intercooler
the stock fuel system working 100% correctly has enough fuel for 10-11psi. 12-13 CAN be done on stock injectors, but you need an ECU AND fuel pump.
or you can do fuel pump and 720 secondaries...
think of it like this, if you increase power by 25% it needs 25% more fuel too. although mazda left it rich stock, so its more like 15%
also the oil pressure. you dont NEED 80psi of oil pressure, but more oil pressure = more oil spray into the rotors = lower oil face temps = less detonation. although in a street car where it really doesnt see a ton of full throttle, you can get by without
this is one of these things where you can play it safe, or not. if you choose not you need to be smarter about tuning it
