Dont know about the swap over, but do know that miata parts arent "tiny" and are VERY robust, and over engineered 400%. Can Handle over 300 to the wheels in drag abuse settings and daily driving.

Good luck.
i like how the miata guys can put 400hp to the ground thru the na tranny, and the same tranny "wont hold up" to a stock 180hp t2 swap....

Not sure what to tell you.

Ive put 347 rear wheel horsepower thru a stock 5 speed miata tranny for 2 years now. The miata trannys are light truck B2000 tranny's. Im putting almost that much rwhp thru a 6 speed...not as much racing on it yet, but its still holding up fine.

Ive managed to keep mine in one piece. Ask anyone who knows me and you'll find I dont take it easy on my cars...I race and put it thru its paces.

Not sure why someone couldnt handle 180hp with one. Poor driving/shifting?

i was being sarcastic, the na rx7 trannies are the same as the miata, light truck (the m type), and people seem to think they are weak for some reason. what did you do to the miata to get 347hp? that thing must be nuts

I have been guarenteed 300 HP capability for my Miata/RX7 box. I will be pushing the edge of that limit. I am preparing for the GFH assembly thrash. We shall see soon enough.

As an added bonus I won't be carrying around the extra weight of a TII box!
