Well if you would stop putting modded TBs on the Car, it would start, unfortunately for some reason, that car HATED modded TBs, it would run and start everytime without a modded tb.

Low compression was never the cause of no starts for me, that thing was my daily driver up until it caught on fire, i drove it with a fuel cut, almost daily, without hitting the fuel cut. And then when it caught on fire, it was running when it was on fire, and i flipped the switch, killed the fuel, so it shoulda ran.....

Amatuers...

The fire may have induced a lean condition WHILE it was running. From what Revvin was telling me the sleeve on the rotor that is bad was flour white...

are you trying to tell me the car leaned out that bad while at idle speed? Id have to disagree, the fire was not that big, maybe 3 inches tall, if it had been using more then 1/2 the fuel pressure to create a lean situation I woulda had a smoldering 7. I have to guess that the lean conditions were created by the previous owner before me, slapping on the exhaust, and intake with no FCD...

These things happen when buying used vehicles... revvin should have done a compression test or had the seller do a compression test on video or something before buying it if he couldnt go to the car due to being across the country.

It's not that terribly big of a deal, the car was cheap, and revvin likes tearing them apart apparently. Everyones happy, right?

if the car ended up running I would have been more surprised

no one is saying tancred sold him a bad car, for the price paid

the car was well worth it.

A rebuild was planned anyhow! It just came about 4-5 months too soon I still would have bought the car from Dustin if the car had low compression. I sure do love tearing into them and learning about them. Everything is gravy.

Tancred, I was not implying that you caused this, nor was I saying you sent him a bad motor, things happen. I have seen a FD blow a motor in the middle of a drag race, rebuild compression where he thought it was just a fuel burp, ran it again and blew it a second time. You never know what you will find when you open a motor. Thats why I call it Christmas, its like getting a present, you never know what is inside the package when you open a motor. I have seen a brand new motor blow on startup, and seen motors do things that everyone said was impossible. So do not take offense to what I was saying, and its all good
