ever since my rebuild when i start my car it is NOTICEABLY louder than any other seven i've heard, it sounds very rough and violent, hard to describe

 

i remember your car making some strange noises when cranking, something is loose knocking around when you crank it I think.



maybe if you have elliot stand outside watching the engine when you crank he can find the source.

 

when I needed my starter replaced I first went with a autoparts store

starter, after the install when I tried starting the car it made the most god awfull noise.



So I got my original one rebuilt by a good local rebuilder and never

had a problem since.

so maybe its your starter

Bad motor mount??? Just a guess

 

Motor mounts are not bad. It has to be the starter, I think rob is dead on. Its loud as hell while cranking.

 

whatever it is, it sounded violent
