Looking to do an ITB setup
#1
I want to do an ITB setup on my 87 N/A. The motor went about a month ago, and I am going to have it rebuilt and street ported as soon as I can. I have the opportunity to purchase an ITB setup for alot cheaper the normal. My question is, is ther anything that I need to do with the car so that it will run with the setup? Like go Standalone? Or can I stay with the stock computer and the SAFC that I have? Thanks.

I've got ITB also... and I would say you need to go standalone...
A few things typical to an ITB setup that may fubar the stock harness/ecu setup is the TPS sensor, injectors, ait....
Issue is you'd need to build a new harness with the stock connectors and stock ecu..your existing harness wouldn't work as a lot of the sensors/components get moved around....
HOWEVER, if you get the ITB and a standalone, you will be able to make some decent power. On a SP 13B 6port... i wouldnt go much larger than 48mm ITBs...even that may be a lil big.
There was a member here running ITBs on his NA, Pengu i think was his SN... not sure if he posts anymore though...

He has a web site (pengaru.com), but it looks like he took a whole bunch of the content off. He used to have pics of his ITB setup, his relocated alternator, customer e-fan shroud, and other stuff.
