sound deadening material
removing all the AC parts is significant weight, the compressor is pretty heavy especially.
power steering pump and hosse if you don't mind using muscles to park.
switching to a single outlet exhaust, cuts the Y pipe weight in half at least, and eliminates one muffler.
stereo equipment
lighter wheels+tires
... theres more but i gotta run

Believe it or not if you can find a set of factory wheels from a late 80's or early 90's Ford Festiva or Geo metro, they will bolt right on to your car.
They are only 155/80/13's so that should save a few pounds.

You have an SE which is one of the lightest models to begin with. The sound deadening stuff would help a lot, but if you wanna keep it...then thats that. Switch to aftermarket exhaust, yea HP inreases, but a bonez pipe vs stock cat is night and day. single exit exhaust weighs less but looks worse. Aftermarket seats are a big plus too...stock seats are like 36lbs or more in the SE. But I have one question...why do you worry so much about weight if your throwing in a big sound system?
