well on my TII. turbo is blown. my spare turbo is going to BNR for stage III upgrade. i also fixed my vacuum leak problem. SOMEHOW a freaking washer got stuck in the BOV. anyway this engine is good no more burning coolant. just the turbo is shot

I've just recently replaced my engine with a jspec, but I'm having a few problems. The idle is inconsistent and throttle response under 4k is crap.

I've notice that the UIM's are different. do my two problems have any relation to the parts missing from the japanese UIM (adjustable BAC and AWS or is it AVS). I'm curious if the original UIM is required for decent idle if i'm maintaining all the emissions stuff on the car.

thanks

That's normal if you eliminated that thermowax garbage.

i think if you get the jspec you should just count on getting the thing rebuilt before putting it in.

Maybe that BAC valve is no good, or maybe the fast idle cam is disabled?
