My dad used to work in a wind tunnel in germany when he was in college. He said that there is a slight vacuum on the top of the hood so he said a lot of the hood scoops are BS. There is pressure where the window where a cowl hood takes in air.
The hood scoop faces forward probably for looks and the pressure from the front of the car and the vacuum from the hood of the car make a nice flow. I just never thought of it working like that. Now I see why a front mount IC makes so much of a difference.

hard to get air to flow thru the header panel thats behind the headlights
A cowl induction hood would be ideal, I still say someone should make
a cold air intake that sits at the firewall so it can draw air from the windshield.

I was looking the the wind tunnel aerodyno for the FC and it showed the wind hitting the gril then bouncing up to where the hood scoop would be (It was an N/A), but supposedley they designed the car so that wind would hit the scoop when in motion.

Yeah it is you can remove the seal on the hood by the headlight to help out a little bit but it still wont be that good. Best not to waste the money unless you have nothing better to buy. Rob ill look into making your idea on the firewall mounted intake.
