i've heard that when you have an intake it has to be calibrated for cold air. is this true? because when i start my car in cold weather it runs like **** for the first five minutes or so. it runs very rough and sputters, but it warm/hot weather it starts fine. any ideas?

nope. The ecu has an air intake temp sensor which adjusts the mixture according to the density of the air. So, theoretically, your car should run the same.

you may have a bad coolant temp sensor, or maybe a bad air intake tamp sensor, or a vacuum leak when its cold, it shouldn't run rough for 12 minutes
