I can sympathize with Sidewinder. A downpipe is easy to get off, but getting the stock precat off of my 88 TII was quite a bitch because it takes up a lot more room than a downpipe. Ultimately, a regular old box-end wrench with a slight offset was the only tool I could get on one of the nuts. A great deal of patience is required. Fortunately, I was under no real time pressure to complete the project.

And I did shitcan my ABS. The pump was leaking and I wasn't about to invest in a new one. My conversion to non-ABS was straightforward and works great!

Ok.. now the damn nuts that hold on the precat are protected by some wierd *** metal thing that sticks up. I've tried to bend them back but they are really thick, and i cant get a socket over them untill they're gone.
