a peripheral port is a little less vauge, they are "simpler" depending more on the intake and exhaust setup, and how big your balls are they can make power from 8-9k to 12-13k. making the engine live @10k+ is the trick....

At that point its just a matter of dealing with seal chatter correct?

All that sounds lovely is there stuff i can do to prevent that, like build the motor stronger?

RONIN FC 10-23-2006 08:53 PM

You need an experienced engine builder to set you up. It will be hard to get everything you need from a forum.

Bearing clearances become critical, oil pressures and flow need to be adressed, and bigger compramises need to be made.

The intake manifold is mainly why the N/A drops off at 6500. Its optimized to make up some low end. The ports are only part of the game.

yeah there are fixes for all that but like ronin said you have to really pay attention to the details, and then buy all the parts $$$$$$

Ya thats my main problem at the moment, im gonna sell my N/A hopefully over the winter and buy a TII

so if i get a TII i shouldnt bother bringing the rpms real high? What would be the best things to do to get a TII moving fast

stock t2 peaks around 6k.... you need a 3" exhaust, hybrid turbo, larger injectors, fuel pump, ecu....

What would usually be a good injector size? I think im aiming for about 300whp and when im done what kinda rpms can yuo get out of a TII or is it better off not bringing the rpms up any?
