In what ways can rpms be increased and what kinda increases would i be looking at? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

just to help you find a good answer you might be looking for....what exactly are you talking about.......rev limit or making the rpms faster?

ExplicitRotary 10-20-2006 08:02 AM

an actual higher rpm range ya know, faster would probably be hand in hand but i think thats clear if not ill try to explain it better

j9fd3s 10-20-2006 09:36 AM

the engine is ok up to about 8500rpms, but the power peaks @6500. so you need a good exhaust, maybe a little porting, better ecu, and the stock intake manifolds prolly need to go too

ExplicitRotary 10-20-2006 10:15 AM

thats just going to increase the power curve right? so those rpms are actually useful

yeah, we were revving the racecar to 9400, it didnt make power that high up, but it let us stay in 3rd, vs shifting to 4th for 100feet

thanks

A p port? i dont know all the porting names, but im almost positive no one around here works on rotaries. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.gif and will that 11k still be in power curve or is it just useless rpms?

stock engines peak @6500, stock.

with a good intake/exhaust it moves up a little 6800-7200

a street port is vauge enough, that you could get power to peak anywhere from 6500-8500, depending on the size/timing of the ports+ the rest of the setup.

a bridge port is also a little vauge, theres enough variety, where you're looking at between 8000-12+ power peak.

a peripheral port is a little less vauge, they are "simpler" depending more on the intake and exhaust setup, and how big your balls are they can make power from 8-9k to 12-13k. making the engine live @10k+ is the trick....
