My tII died the other day and I can't figure out why. I rounded a corner and it sputtered and died. I checked the ignition and its not working. When I crank the engine it will through one faint spark and then quit. If I turn the key off and try again it does the same thing. Both the leading and trailing are doing the same thing. Could it be my ECU or my crank angle sensor? Please help.

Could be your battery. Does it have a good charge? Does the alternator work? Did a ground shake loose somewhere? It just sounds like they aren't getting the juice they need.

I'd put my money on a bad CAS or an ignitor; poor/corroded connections aren't to be ruled out either. Unplug the coils and check the connectors (the ones from the ECU). Measure the CAS with a multimeter and make sure it's within spec, as well as the coils.

I checked all the connections there ok and I even changed the crank angle sensor with aknown good one. I grounded everything directlt from the battery and the battery is new. I think there may be still a wire problem somewhere cause if I drag the car down the road it starts up but spits and sputters like its fireing irratically.
