Idle Problem

my car starts rite up but idles at 2000 rpm. it seems to be running rich i've tried everything but can't seem to figure it out. i've checked the throtle cable i've checked for vacume leeks i just don't know?

It could be your cold idle cam getting stuck. Have you screwed around with the throttle body at all? Do you know abou the fast idle cam screw?

no I just put the moter in an 88 na. My brother baoght a 87 tII doner car and we stipped it and put everything in the na the wireing harness the motor the suspension even the interior. IT idled fine when it was in the TII car maybe its the fast idle cam I'll give it a try.
