Can some one tell me how you know the diff betwen the 13b (S5) and just the 13b just by lookin at it in the car

 

between s4 and s5...you can look at the thermostat housing....its plastic = s5....metal = s4



if looking at turbo engines.... the s4 turbo is ht18 and smaller.... s5 is hx18 and larger ... i believe thats correct at least



the alts are diff..but i dont know exactly

if its 89, then its s5.

 

unless there was a motor swap in the past, which I wouldn't understand why someone would swap a s4 in, I'd guess S5 if its a 89.

 

did thay only come turbo ?

 

also....since its nA...you can check out the 5th and 6th port actuators.....



s4 is electrical....s5 will be mechanical...i dont know the visual differences here though

well what are some of the things to look for to find out
