Why is it that when i hit my brakes my ideal drops and my interior lights dim

Alternator may be going out. If it's stock still (Unlikely) , replace it. My RX-7 was doing this same thing before the alternator started really giving out on me. I bet if you crank your stereo up high, every time the bass hits your lights will dim too.

I have no stereo in the car and i i think it was changed like 3 years ago

the only time it idles down is when i hit the brakes right after i let off the gas. But if i wait till it idles then hit the braks it is fine

a little bit is normal. if it gets really dim, then you might wanna start looking at battery cables, and connections, idle speed maybe, and then maybe the alternator.



my t2, the alternator was ok, and the wiring was bad. upgrading the alternator helped a lot, but it really was the connections by the fuse block
