Time to yank and spank that sucker back together with new O rings. It's not very hard, or expensive, if you have a place to do it at.

Speaking of prob, you still need a pic of the throttle *****? Hes been gettin in late and when I try taking a pic its to dark out...and the flash aint helping...I'll still try this weekend though..

sucks about the oil control rings, atleast the rebuild shouldn't cost you to much if you do it yourself.

Started taking the car apart to check it. The IC piping and the intake side of the turbo has zero oil in it. However, the exhaust side of the turbo and the DP are filling with oil. I'm waiting on my roomate to get back with a hose so I can connect the oil feed and return lines for the turbo together so I can fire up the car and watch for oil in the exhaust ports with the turbo and manifold removed. I have a strong feeling I will be seeing quite a bit of oil flying out of there. We'll see....

Got the exhaust manifold off. The exhaust ports are completely black. There are dried up little oil pools inside them. The exhaust gasket is even coated in oil. Looks like time for a rebuild. Any other diagnoseses?

I see only one other possibility for oil getting into the combustion chamber like that, and it is the crankcase vent. So you could disconnect the crankcase vent hose and see if oil blows out the vent, and if so, try running the engine for a while w/o the line connected and see if it still smokes. If not, your vent is pumping oil into the intake.



I don't know any reason why the vent would pump oil into the intake all the time, but I also don't know everything, so anything could be possible. It is one last thing to eliminate before investing the time and $ into a removal / rebuild.

The crankcase vent hose is disconnected and has been. So unfortunatly that's not it. Looks like rebuild time.
