Just a quick question regarding series 5 air flow meters... Does anyone know if you can use an 89+ AFM with an 86 ECU? (Its a naturally aspirated car, too).

they are not interchangeable. the size of the afm is different and the connectors are different also.

It's possible to do it, but there's some re-wiring required. I knew a guy who had an 88 TII AFM on his 90 TII.
