Thumbs down

I love my 1988 RX-7 Convertible but she must hate me because she is not running right. Driving home after visiting a friend I herd an extremely loud pop . There after I lost all brakes and idle . When I say I lost all brakes, basically I cannot move the brake pedal any farther down then a quarter inch also It has no horsepower and will not hold an idle ... I believe it to be my BRAKE BOOSTER but I do not want to spend the money and then have it be something else (I am working on a budget and this is already cutting in my turbo swap). Please leave a reply and help steer in the right direction . Thank you ....

If I go with a Turbo II Brake Booster would that be better in any way or are they the same thing.

First check the vacuum line that goes to the manifold, if that is not the prombel it could be your brake booster. i would lean towards the vacuum line because you lost your idle.

I agree, follow the booster hose/line and block it off closest to the engine. See if it runs better. If so, you narrowed down your vac leak.

The vert should have the same booster as the TII.

When you say the vacum line your talking about the one to the lower intake manifold right. Also I am gonna change the booster anyway but I will take it under heavy consideration.

What do I replace that line with regular vacum line or a dealership part
