hey guys i need help. my shifter broke when i let my friend drive my car. big mistake but off that subject i need to find a short shift kit for my 1986 rx-7. id greatlyt appreciate it if u could help me out. well thanks. send links or whatever. i need a kit. Adi0s

How the hell do you break the shifter?? I MUST see a pic of this.

Question

Well I told him to hold the brake in and then release the emergency break then hold the clutch inand put it in first so well i put it in first so he wouldnt have to do it. so i tell him to feather the clutch out with the gas and the car jumped. i was like hold on i put up the E brake and i switched to my drivers seat and i liftd the damn shifter right out of the damn gear box. so u know the piece that holds the shifter in it has three bolts on it? i think i need a new one of them, annd i need a bushing for it too. but id rather just get a kit. it'd be alot easier
