do i need to do any mods to the taurus fan to install?
The taurus fan fits pretty well, some slight cutting to the plastic cowl is required. I have moved to a 16" Spal fan with a custom aluminum shroud, it's pretty sweet but much more expensive than the Taurus fan. If you're looking for function, not beauty, the Taurus fan should be fine. I have one laying around the garage, PM me with an offer if you want it. |
explain why you need an electrical fan? clutch fan works better anyways, it just not as "pretty".

stock s4 alternator and taurus e-fan are not that great a combo, just keep the stock fan set up

If you can find a radiator fan from a 91+ MR2, those things are very powerfull. You could feel the air being sucked in through my front mount when both fans were on.

that taurus fan is no joke either

The stock fan does a very good job, unless there is something severly wrong I wouldn't ditch it. That said the fans listed will do the job well. They will put a large drain on the alternator if you have the stock one. If you do convert you will need a temperature sensor to tell the fan when to come on.

i cant use the stock fan setup, it wont fit..... i have a koyo radiator from an s5........any ideas
the taurus fan draws that many amps...??? will it work with the stock alt. if i remove other things, such as the radio, a/c, H.I.Ds, and anything else i can think of that i dont need? |
Go to a scrapyard and see what fits - you can also get little plastic tabs that slot through the fins that you can fix to.
