my car has been idleing at around 700 rpm, completely steady with or without a load on the engine. Around yesterday evening the idle started getting low and unsteady and dropping to around 500 or 400 rpm, and the car shook a little expecially when i pumped the brakes, ever since then it has been getting worse, when i am sitting a a red light the idle pulses between 200 and 500 rpm i am surprised it stays running. The car also shakes very badly expecially under the load of the brake pedal being pressed. If i just rest my foot on te gas pedal the idle is completely perfect, Can anyone help??? I checked the maf sensor by disconnecting it while the car was ideling and there was no difference in the idle, it was the same with it connected or dissconnected but with it disconnected you cannot rev the engine it just stalls when you try opening the throttle plates. This has really got me stumped and the idle is so bad its almost undriveable.

If the airflow sensor is bad it will trigger the limp mode in the cpu which makes all kinds of interesting things happen.
