Well, I picked up my Turbo II last Friday. Amazing. I cant only like 600 mi more to go before the engine is broken in, then it's killing time. Only one question:

How do I know for sure if it's really a turbo II or just a converted NA?

Either way, it's quick and I love it.

Yes, there is a stock boost guage on the interior panel.

Also stock intercooler and hood.

I ask because some car parts are different shades of white (hood, front and rear bumpers, spoiler, side mirrors)

The Turbo models have seats with added side bolstering. You say its an 87 so it should also have the two spoke momo factory steering wheel.

Other things would be

an interooler with "turbo II" painted on it

a snail looking thing hooked to the engine and exhaust

Boost gauge in lower left of instrument cluster (basically worthless)

turbo II badging

you should see a tag on the rear diff that says "fill with limited slip additive oil only"

16" turbo fin rims, or if you are lucky, they have been replaced as they weigh 29lbs

unless added on by the previous owner, there should be no back seat

and the last I can think of is it should have power windows, cruise control, and AC

All that checks out less the momo steering wheel. I'll check on the LSMD oil tag.
