i went and looked at the one i mentioned earlier with the messed up u joint. It had some body damage some dents and dings the trim around the windows were rusted. The antenna was broke off the paint behind the sunroof was looking kind of bad. The hood looked a little messed up but wasnt to bad. One of the door handles was broke .The trim around the back window needed replacing and the interior was a little ruff some of the vent covers were missing and the steering wheel had a couple of gashes in it and the carpet needs replacing. i didnt get a chance to test drive because the guy has it sitting in a parking lot and wasnt there. Theres one thing though it looks like its been sitting a while. The guy wants 1500 or best offer so im offering 550 and going from there. Around how much will it cost to get all the stuff i mentioned?

Sounds like it is in pretty rough shape. I'd just hold out for a 7 in better shape.

ive wanted a rx7 for a while but they never show up around here a lot. thats why i started looking at the other ones but now i just lost my old job and i cant aford the other new ones. so when i saw this one in the paper and i went to check it out becuase i thought it might be alright. maybe if the guy will take 500(more than likely he wont ) ill buy it and fix it up little by little im working on figuring out a price for the parts i know it needs but ive still yet to see it run so it could be more.

Do you have any nice self-service junkyards down there? We have a pretty big one here in Richmond. Last time I went, they had one 2nd gen that hadn't been picked over yet, and it would have been a great car to pick a bunch of pieces off of. There's really nothing more enjoyable than pulling parts you need off a car that isn't yours, and this way, IT'S LEGAL! (Well, you DO have to pay for them.)

Any news on the car? Maybe you could find a parts car somewhere, and make 1 good car from 2
