So, I was going down the highway at about 60mph, brought it up to around 75mph and let off. When all of a sudden there was this massive bang noise comming from the engine bay. I thought I had blown my engine but I could still accelerate the same as before. I ended up driving for a while longer then accelerated in first hard and when I let off she didnt make the bov sound that she usually does. This kinda scared me, and then she quite running, which scared me even more. So now she starts, and idles, but dies after about 3 to 4 seconds. As if the fuel is being cut. Im thinking vac leak of some sort. And Im thinking the bang was a backfire out of the intake. Im runnin' straigh pipe with baffled muffler, big time backpressure. Stock leaking injectors and have done the TB mod. Cars an 87 TII. Any thoughts?

Well yeah, thats what it must be, so I'm just gonna take apart the upper and lower intake manifold and the turbo off and look for leaks. It could be a gasket too, I'll find it somehow. To summarize, baffled exhausts are BAD !
