Hey..I'm bored at work again(as usual these days) and I always like playing with HP numbers...and I'd like to get your alls opinion on how much HP you think my motor would put out w/ the stock turbo & ecu @12psi???
Mods:
Large streetport w/ 2mm2pc seals
2.5" exhaust(for street)
TB mod
no a/c and no emissions
16" efan(soon to come..)
ported wastegate
stock TMIC(for now..)
thats really all the important stuff...I'm just curious, cuz I was talkin w/ this guy up near my school who's got a '91 T2 w/ streetport 3mm seals and FMIC running 9psi he dynoed at 220rwhp and 220ftlbs...that seemed low to me..but dunno...opinions??? I'm hoping that if I max out the stock turbo safely at 12psi and run an fmic I'd be up to 250rwhp at least...but who knows...of course, i'd do some good tuning. Once i get an EMS i bet the motor setup w/ stock turbo would go over 250rwhp @14psi(then start to spit oil from the turbine lol)

I'll vote for NO. If you managed to manage it I would think you'd be on the ragged edge.
You would have to add so much fuel to compensate for the temp increases from those high pressures through the sock IC that you would run into the law of diminishing returns. Not to mention the stock turbo will probably take a **** at those pressures.
Note: H2O injection?
