Ok, thanks for all the help. One last question, where would i go about finding one? Ebay a good choice? Just look around? Keep an eye on car auctions?

*note* the lack of edit or delete button is killin me here lol

Where are you located at? How far are you willing to travel to get your FC? There are tons of 7s for sale around here. I stopped and looked at a NA FC today that they wanted $2500 for. Then I also stopped and looked at a Rx2 for sale. And right down the road from me there is a real clean FB for sale for $850.

Wierd.. there should be an edit button.. oh well.. Yeah your neighbor can help if he reads the Service manual, and goes by the book, not by just wingin it.. He should even have most of the measuring tools too.. incase you needed a rebuild,, if not everything else is pretty straight forward..

Ebay is okay if you find one in your area.. Just check the papers and keep an eye out..

Drive around and ask around.. it would be better to take your time and find a good one.. or a good deal..

Where in Oklahoma are you? I happen to have a 88 SE for sale. It is listed in the Cars for sale forum, classifieds. Look for 88 fc, for sale. I am in the Tulsa area. Good luck.

I just bought a 2nd gen on ebay. 65k and runs sweet for $2100. It's a little stressful if you have to wait to pick it up. I looked at a lot of them locally before I purchased this one. Read everything you can and test drive before you buy and you'll know what to ask if you decide to go with ebay. Good Luck
