The title and description says a lot. I'm about to buy a 87 RX-7 Turbo II with 70,000 miles on it. And I want to know what you think the average lifespan of a rotary engine is. Thanks!

My '88 TII has just over 100k on it. So much depends on how it was treated. If it runs well and doesn't smoke, I'd say go for it. There aren't that many TII's out there with so few miles.

Mine has 100k on it right now. I just give it what it needs, regular fluid changes and daily redlines.

TIIs usually last between 130k-180k though providing nothing stupid was done to them.

My N/A has 183,000 on the original motor, still runnning strong/

The T2 has 98,000 on it and needs a new turbo, but the compression is very high.

if your getting it from a kid and has many things done to it(mods\) just double that amount of miles

but if its from an old guy or has the stock exhaust go for it!
