Gotta 88 13b 6port with racing beat's setup and holley 650 dbbl pumper. This is in a Datsun 510. (I know I know!!!! Traitor) But.... I like rotary's.

Question is.... Racing Beat suggests a pump that can deliver at least 6psi and 20gph. Confusing is that the Holley Red is like 5-7 psi and 97 gph and the blue is 7-14 psi and 120 gph. One is overkill i guess and the Red seems to exceed the gph but not the psi. Am I nitpicking here?

Also, is a regulator required?

the carter pumps are a lot quieter than the holley pumps. the holleys sound like you're throwing spoons in a blender. you should also get a fuel pressure regulator, holley makes ones thats like $25, and then you can turn a 7-14 psi pump down to 6psi

Any particular Carter Pumps recommended. I thought they were marine pumps.

And thanks for the help.

Craig
carter was original equipment on alot of cars, the Edelbrock carb is a

direct copy of a carter.

Both those holley pumps are WAY over kill for a 650 double pumper.

choose one that is rated for flow and PSI that you need. Anything more is

useless and will do more bad then good

I agree with you rob, holley's blue and red's are for high output chevy's and turbo cars. I have experience with carter's also, we use them on our dyno and they rarely fail
