how do you get the sunroof off of a 2nd gen rx7? do you have to take both whole tracks out?? let me know i need to get mine off!!! asap

you pop off the headliner and theres 4 nuts, like in yer pants

Get in the car and open the sunroof about 2 inches. Reach up and pull downward on the interior carpet-like headliner, at the front. There are 3 clips - one in each corner and one in the middle. Once the headliner has been pulled down from all 3 clips, pull the headliner down and forward (towards the nose of the car). It will slide right out.



Now, close the sunroof and undo the 6 10mm nuts, 3 on each side. Once done, push straight up on the sunroof. It'll pop up, and with the heat the padding may be acting as an adhesive (at least mine did, but I've got to deal with Texas summers...) so give it a good shove.

Pay attention to what bolts you need to take out. ( i thought it was only 4) Some of them are only to line up the roof and dont need to be touched.

yup. after i posted this earlier today i went out and got it out... figures you have to pull the damn headliner off. what a bitch... thanks guys
