and on a side note, i forgot to mark my drive shaft joke with my differential, i heard they need to be set back to the way they were to preserver balance. Am i in trouble?

The nut is 52 mm. I've always used a 2 1/8" socket, and I never had any trouble. I always mark my driveshaft, but some people I know don't and haven't had any trouble.

They should spin in the same direction while in neutral.

On my Rotary Rebuild Video from Atkins, he specifically says that it is a 54mm socket.

Just tryin to help before you go out and spend $40 on a socket!!!!

If you're not using an impact gun it will be VERY tough. One option would be to bolt a flat metal bar to the flywheel and let it brace against the body. The other would be to have someone hold a breaker bar with a 19mm socket on the front pulley bolt; but then the front bolt may come loose, which could cause problems.

There should be 2 holes in the flywheel. You need to get a post that they use to hold up stopsigns. Take 2 bolts and attach the sign post to the 2 holes in the flywheel. Then whall your standing on the sign post, loosen the big *** nut.

The nut is on there with 350 lbs/ft of torque. It sucks if your not buff.

Good Luck!!

Ohh, and while your trying to loosen it, bounce on it a little instead of just pushing on it. It make it 10 times easier. :tounge:
