when people say s4 or s5 what does that mean i've figured that the fc is second gen and fd is 3rd but what does s4 or s5 mean

S4 is an 86-88 FC, the S5 is an 89-91 FC.

s4 = audi a4 body, twin turbo 6cyl engine.... s5 = corvette c5, replaced C with S
