Help With Water Pump

well im selling my game cube that i bought for 48 bucks for 80 so i need to know how much it would cost for new seals. i would figure theres like 2-4 seals and it should only cost around 20 bucks. but then again im only 15 and in auto 2 in school (smartest kid in the class) i should ace it ez and about to get a job soon. anyone that lives in orlando florida could help me out plz. thanks.

ive got a 1986 na 1.3b rotary hehe srry for not mentioning it

your question doesn't seem to make any sense. You want a water pump rebuild kit? Or just the housing gasket....i believe that the Mazda water pump isnt very rebuildable. As far as waterpumps go $145 (from mazdatrix i'm sure you can get it cheaper) is not too bad. A Ford BDG motor (escort 2000rs) waterpump is $400

to answer your question--there are 2 seals the waterpump and the housing to the motor

Yeah but you shouldn't need to remove the housing to replace just the pump and most pumps come with the pump gasket. I'd put some RTV on both sides of the gasket too. Where exactly is it leaking? What's the prob?

cant say yet i havent had time to go get more refridgerant to find out the problem im to busy with school and such. but ill get to it when i replace the starter motor.

what does refrigerant have to do with the water pump?

He probably means coolant.



When I changed my water pump the back of the housing came off and I had to cut that gasket from some gasket paper.

yea i ment coolant srry my friend ripped out his air conditioner lol. anyway he also ripped out his intake computer thing and we had to sauder it back on and we dont know how long tahts gonna stay. ty though now i just hafta get the seals and whatever and get a starter.
