Help! Slow Acceleration....

I have a 1988 Mazda RX-7 SE. It is an automatic. It accelerates insanely slow. We're talkin like 0-60 in 17 seconds.....1/4 mile in like 22......any suggestions? E-mail me please with tips WannaSeeMyWankel@aol.com

why would i waist my time E-mailing u, when we have a perfectly good discussion board right here.



Ok, first off. Get a compression check. Does she run ok? Start ok? Hows the idle... gas miliage ect..ect.. does everything "SEEM" normal?



Secondly, it's an auto, they wernt known to have the best accel. in the first place, i'm not ******* the auto, but yeah...blah.



and C. My old motor was re-******'-diculously slow, all because of bad compresison.

yea i checked everything in terms of compression.....basic tune up.....but its really slow.......i got people in ford explorers passing me looking at me like im an old lady or something...it takes off sooooooooo slow.....

how did you check the compression, did you do it properly with a gauge or listen for wooshes?

Question

u should check your injectors. make sure there all plugged in.

I disconected one by mistake and i had no acceleration.
