i've heard of some people who use an easy method to increase the performance of 12a.something like they shorten the secondaries spring in order to have the secondary jets open earlier.is there anyone who could describe the procedure and where that spring is located?

i like removing the choke plate, but it doesn't get cold here. if you are on the right hand side of the car with the air cleaner off. on the front of the carb you will see a round "thing" with 4 screws. thats the secondary diaphram, the spring is right behind the cover.
