Help! cruise control module location

I have an 88 conv. and can't find the cruise control module. It isn't where the manual said it is(by the cpu on the left kick panel). Any ideas?

yeah, probably... only place my parts diagram shows it is left upper aprom near the firewall. Could fax the diagram if you'd like.

if its there, its easy to spot.

box looking thing with a cable coming out of it going to the throttle body.
