My heater has never worked. So I removed the 2 rubber hoses in the engine bay where they meet the fire wall. I shoved a hose over one hole, and turned it on. I saw coolant come out of the other hole, so I guessed that the heater core is not clogged. Any time I turn my heater on, I never can detect moisture on the floor, so I think that it's not leaking. (I did detect some water, but I think it's from me blasting the hose there, it didn't smell like coolant and was very cold).
So what's the deal? The air doesn't even get warm. All I want is some defrost, and maybe a little warmth for me fingers. |
maybe the logicon is messed up
|
with the key on engine off, when you move the heat lever do you hear the motor?
|
Yep, I can hear the blower motor if that's what you mean, at all different speeds. I can also hear the sounds of the little motors when I switch from face/feet/defrost and such. All the indicator lights work fine as well.
I also felt around under the dash for warm air in case the ducting was blowing it somewhere else. |
its gotta be the logicon, its just not switching to get the air through the core
|
when was the last time you changed the thermostat?

change that and see what happens, open thermostat will not allow heat |
Yeah open thermostat = engine runs too cold = not optimum for motor = no heat for you in the cab.
