1200 degrees isn't usually enough for a rotary,lol.

Header wrap will more than likely not prevent further rust as it does tend to trap corrosives and moisture.

I still recommend the wrap though, it keeps temps in the engine bay down dramatically. The pros outweigh the cons with this mod. Not to mention, (especially on piston cars w/ less heat) if you slip and nick the header when its hot, it doesn't instantly singe your skin off...lol, definate plus for me..i put header wrap on anything w/ headers...

Depends on how thick you get it... i usually got the .5" to 1" stuff just because it makes it easier and cleaner to wrap...

..on RB headers you wont need that entire 100ft roll. You should get at least a 25ft... I can't remember exactly what size/length I've used before...

i used this 1500oF pain on my downpipe and 1500oF primer, then wrapped it with fiberglass wrap.

im not sure about how the downpipe is doing underneath the wrap, but the small part that is exposed, right after the turbine housing, is still as black as the day i sprayed it on. i've see 720 deg C on the EGT sensor after the turbine..... i dont know how that translates to farenheight

I made the mistake of not wearing gloves = fiberglass in the hands.. they itch all day long after that and anything you touch
