So the trailing will wind up firing before the leading when it retards the ignition. :o

that is true. you can set the j&s not to do anything but tell you its knocking though

Yeah, it has that knock monitor gauge, right?[/quote]

yup, the problem is its still $650ish, and sometimes they wig out for no reason

I'll just use common sense. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif

Yeah, but only when you actually use it. :P

I would assume that in this case common sense = lots and lots of fuel?

Clutch!! I am keeping my TII tranny in the car.

I know I will need a stronger clutch. Can I use a FC clutch with a FD flywheel??

BTW - Every custom piece I make will be blueprinted and made in three's. I will be marketing a FD conversion when I am done with this.

My friend used the FC flywheel, but he had to grind part of the FD rear housing off. an 89-91 flywheel can be used with the FD motor, but the 87-88 can't.

I want to keep the FD flywheel and use a FC clutch and tranny.

I have both laying around the shop I'll look tomarrow.

It should work, but I doubt that anybody has tried it.
