The Electromotive systems incorporate a knock sensor, but most rotary people don't bother with it.

We looked over the engine bays and the engines on the FC and FD at the shop. I decided to go for it.

I put a deposit on the engine and I ordered a FMIC.

I am now shopping for a Haltech.

Looks like I will have a FD powered FC by the end of October. I am hopeing to get about 350RWHP out of it.

Is that because if you experience any knock, before the computer can do anything about it it's too late on a rotary? :P

You should be very happy. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png after you get it mounted everything else will be easy.

Yeah, that's usually the case. I've also heard--never tried it out--that the J&S knock sensor/computer only retards the leading ignition. So the trailing will wind up firing before the leading when it retards the ignition. :o

The mounting of the engine will be hadled by a pro. Like I said he builds racecars from scratch this is a walk in the park for him. Plus he lives for this kind of work - I just made him really happy. He gets to do something cool and pay his bills. He is usually doing fleet maintenance for some of his clients.

I am really looking foward to this. It will be cool to have a really unique car.
