I was wondering if any one had set up a system for using pre-bottled compressed air going into the throttle body in controled bursts? kinda like a blower but with out the electric fan.

I have never heard of that, but I would imagine you would need a rather large bottle under exremely high pressures to make a difference...

it would require a lot of research and testing. you would have to find a way to make a button activated valve that can handle the pressure, and the jets that let the air into the throttle body would have to be sized just right to keep from blowing the engine, or just not doing anything

you would also have to find a way to keep the air from just blowing back out through the air filter.

I don't think its worth trying, but they probably told henry ford that when he started making model t's, so whatever you have the time and money to try....

i think it would become more of a volume issue , than a timing or jetting issue.

Wouldn't that be an assload of extra weight too? I think that would really throw off the benefits.

i think it can be done, i used to be a paintballer and an 68ci 3000psi tank wasnt that much filled at most maybe 3-4 pounds. i think the hole setup would be the hardest.

Yeah, but how much benefit would a car really see with that? Even though I'm not much of a fan, if I wanted bottle-aided power, I'd go with nitrous.
