This complaint is very common. Almost undoubtedly due to leaky fuel injectors which results in engine flooding. I recommend pulling the injectors and having them cleaned by a shop that specializes in fuel injectors such as RC Engineering. My car starts every time now that I have clean injectors. It was nearly impossible to start previously on hot restarts, such as after a gas station stop.
There are some people that have installed a switch to kill the fuel pump when necessary. This will surely work also, but clean injectors have the advantage of making a little more power.

have you heard anyone have a problem with vapor lock? I know that was a common problem with older muscle cars because under the hood was soo hot the fuel would vaporize in the lines and now allow the car to start when its was hot. I know rotaries run hot, but i do not know if vaporlock is an issue with fuel injection.
