Yes, you should have. Just use what you got and wait until they wear out. In the mean time, score some T2 wheels. 205/55/16 is perfect for them. I wanted wider tires so I went with wider wheels on my FC. I found some 16x8 wheels for a good deal and went with 225/50 for them.

All because it is physically possible to place that wide of tires on a rim does not mean that it's ideal. Some people like to believe that all because it seems as though there is a wider contact patch they'll get better performance. But other factors come into play. One is tire pressure. Too narrow of a tire for a wheel and you have to add more pressure to flatten the tread. Too wide of a tire for a wheel and you have to lower pressure to flatten the tread. You went with too wide of a tire. With this lessened pressure your tire will need to rely on sidewall strength to cover both lateral forces and to carry the weight of the vehicle. I could go on and on with this, but suffice to say you need wider wheels to attain your goals of using wider tires. Lucky you, the FC can accept some decent sized rubber in its wheel wells.

i really dont want taller rims... i would like to stick with 15's. So what if i go find some 15x 7 inch rims

would than i be able to use the tires i have to full potential?

I just didnt want to have to waist the 300 bucks i just spent...

reason i want to stick with the 15's is because i would like to lower the car about 2 inches or so...

and 15 inch rims are usually lighter
