is there anything specail you have to do to the kyb agx struts when installing ground control coilovers? it looks like you would have to do something to the lower spring seat. has anybody installed ground control coilovers with kyb agx struts?

if it's the 2nd gen kit, then it should just sit right on the perches that are on the struts. The only thing extra that you need is some type of upper perch on the front two. A lot of people convert to camber/caster plates in the front.

it is for a 2nd gen, that's why i asked in the 2nd gen area. it does come with the upper seat, but on the kyb agx struts the lower part for the spring is different, it's not perfectly round the whole way. part of it is like pushed up and welded to the side of the strut to let the stock springs sit in right.

the "sleeve" should have a sloping type lower part, just like the spring that it is replacing. so you sit the sleeve, on the perch, then turn counter-clockwise (i think) untill it sits firmly in place.
the sleeve sits in the lower perch, the spring sits on the nut (which is how you adjust), and the upper part of the spring (which is flat) sits in the upper perch that you say that you have.
because you asked in the 2nd gen section makes me assume that you have a 2nd gen, not that you have a 2nd gen ground control kit.

Gottcha, I did order it for an 89 mazda rx-7, so i hope its right. But on my strut the perch is not perfectly round and level, and the sleeve with the threads is. I'll take some pics when I get home and post them.
