Well I do have a fan shroud.



And I know it over heats becuase it gets to a point that the overflow bottel the water inside starts to boil. The oil cooler does get hot. and when it starts to over heat the car shuts off and wont start up and by miracle it does it turns off right away.



Im swaping motors monday if i dont resolve anything.

 

Did you replace the thermostat? If not then this could also be causing your problem. It could be stuck closed and not allowing any coolant or not enough coolant into the system to keep the motor cool.

 

I have a new mazda OEM thermostat installed???



It is driving me crazy. Tomorow is the day!!!!

Naww im not going to sell it im going to put a good 88 motor into it and see if that was the problem. Thanks for all the help you guys. i will keep you guys posted.

Im swapping the engine. I wanted to know can I buy a 89-92 N/A mazda reman engine and use all the manifolds off my 88 N/A? Im going to use my enine for now till I save money.
