Last night I got hit by a snow shower, and I like to fill the tank to keep extra weight on the rear wheels. So I fill the tank and it fills over 12 1/2 gallons! The problem is i had an 1/8 a tank already.



I thought the S4 tank was 12 gallon capacity! Is the gas station ripping me off!

 

I have a 1987 GXL. It is an S4. The original owner's manual (I am the original owner) says that the fuel tank capacity is 16.6 US Gallons.

 

Why the hell did i think it was 12 gallons? TII is the same tank as an N/A right.

16.6 Gallons for S4, bigger for s5, i think 18 or 19.



Your gauge most be off.

 

Prolly, i just got a new gauge cluster. The other one was most likely off.
