Fuel pump switch
#31
When I got them 2 years ago, I paid under $100 for 2, keeping in mind the shop gets beween 20-25% discount. MazdaTRix as of today sells them for $62. Where are you that you were told $100? Can you post a pic of J-spec flash to pass lenses, I never seen them before.

i did the fuel cut off on mine ,(88 nert na ) the relay for the egi-fuel pump is located on the steering colum under the dash about half way down. it has a six terminal plug and is connected to a yellow receptor. disconect the plug ,be careful not to berak off the snaps on each side that lock it in place. after you unplug it you will see two black wires w/ white stripes on them, cut the smallest of the two, it is a single black wire, not the two that are together. be sure to use a duty rated switch @ 20 amps, so you won't burn the switch up. connect the leads from your switch to the wires you just cut. you can mount the switch in the air/con vent that is directly under the dash the one that blows towards the seat. use the switch like this . just before you cut the ignition of cut the switch off in about 3-5 secs the engine will die. then cut the ignition off. you have just burned all the fuel that was in the chamber and there is none there to flood. when restarting start cranking first then flip the switch. varooom you are in business. for those of you who can't put the switch in just pull the EGI fuse before you cut he car off and put the fuse in your pocket, great theft deterant. also if your car is flooded try cranking it first for5-6 secs with the EGI fuse out. THEN put the fuse back and crank with the pedal to the floor there is a switch (factory installed) that cuts the fuel pump off during start when the pedal is to the floor. hope this helps .
