On my FD the cable didnt break but the mechanism that holds the door closed is all kinds of messed up. Doesnt like to open 1/2 the time. Dont know if the FCs are the same as FDs but if you look inside the door, opposite of the hinge, there should be some sort of arm that holds the door closed. I just push and pull on that arm until the door pops open.

Hope that helps you some.

Try hitting the right side (side towards the fron of the car) with the palm of your hand. Thats what I have to do sometime cause mines startin' to get sticky. If that doesn't work, try setting a thin screwdriver on the left and pop it out.

no emergency pull, try grabbing the cable itself from inside the trunk, then pulling on the door. If you grab the inside of the cable, meaning the

cable itself and not the housing, it should replease on you.

Once you get it open clean the plunger really good, sand off any rough parts of the plunger, its plastic by the way, then lube it up, if you keep it clean and lubed it will give you pain free operation.

I got it pryed open, i was right the damn thing wasnt moving at all with the cable. While prying it open somehow the srew driver hit the plunger and pushed it back in and of course now its stuck in the open position. I guess i'll have to pull it apart and fix/clean it. figures as soon as the motor problems are fixed everything else will break.
